Theatrical Plays for your reading or for production on the stage, tv, radio, cinema
(after your agreement with the agent) in Greek, English, German.

Five plays which can be produced with only 2 or 3 actors, (or amateurs). You could also record the voice, so that the performances (at least the first ten ones) are recorded (play-back) so that the performers shall not need to learn by the text, and waste time in rehearsals. Only 3 rehearsals will suffice.

1. NOW, IPHIGENIA NOW
Iphigenia, the young of the king-marshall Agamemnon, refuses to be sacrificed by the army and the priesthood, for the Trojan war to start. She denounces directly the patriarchal-militant system and all its evils that torture and destroy mankind. She calls for the return of the matriarchal communities of the previous culture, destroyed by the invaders, living from war and looting.
An ancient legend for a very modern state of things and the suggestion of higher ideas for the salvation of mankind and the Earth (only 2 actors)

2. EMPEROR ASOKA
Most cruel killer, most noble saint. The Indian Emperor Asoka, through a meeting with a wonderful young Buddhist, is transformed to a real saint, active, by example and organization, in spreading the values of respect for his fellow-man, the woman, the mother, for any form of living being, for Nature, for Earth. A most needed saint for our times. Mother-centred values are especially stressed, love of peace and avoidance of hurting all beings.(only 3 male actors)

3. ALFRED NOBEL
THE WAR, THE LOVE, THE PRIZES.

The great inventor of explosives and war machines, is a deeply suffering man, because of deprivation of love in his childhood. He seeks love from Claire, his secretary, but she is a conscious pacifist and desires cooperation with him in his career, though she may be loving him as a person. His tragic dilemma between money worship and the need for love and tenderness. His final transformation into a peace lover and the donation of all his wealth for peace purposes (2 men, 1 woman)

4. EMPEROR ALEXIOS 1ST, KOMINOS THE GREAT, AND VASSILIOS THE BISHOP OF VOGOMILI PURE (KATHAROI)
This Emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire in Constantinople, trapped Vassilios, through an invitation to his palace for a friendly discussion about his mass-appealing religious and social practices. Finally, he burns him alive, together with his close disciples. IN INDIA...ONCE UPON A TIME

This play is revolutionary in its way of dealing with the problem of seeking and using power both in political life and personal relationship. It is as modern as any play of our times. It also shows how we are all acting through our images and roles, and so destroy each other and the masses of peoples.
